Posto Shorshey Ilish Bhapey |
Jamai Shosti is approaching. And if you visit your local market, it become more evident. Even in this off season, frozen Hilsas are appearing out of nowhere. And as a matter of coincidence, last week, the wife wanted to have Hilsa. When I went to my trusted fish wallah, it appeared even more coincidental when he said “Dada, ei Ilish ta niye jaan”. I was happy enough to buy it, but was let down by the price.I had decided not to buy it, but somehow, the taste of the Hilsa is too tempting to resist the price. I paid 700 bucks a kilo for the fish which weighed 950 gms and prepared Ilish Posto-Shorshey Bhapey.
It was delicious.
